more recap. its been a busy few months. i went back to work after a short 8 weeks of maternity leave. we had some visitors, i had a conference in san diego, and we have been working working working. Madeline started daycare; it was a little bit of a rough transition ridden with mommy-guilt, but thankfully she is now doing quite well. Unfortunately we are still not sleeping through the night.. in fact, we're not sleeping that well at all these days as madeline is starting to wrangle her way out of her swaddle frequently through the night. we're pretty sleep deprived, but haven't done the sleep training quite yet... getting there. At the same time madeline started daycare, Miles transitioned to preschool! he has been doing great there, despite being a terror all too often at home. and we are even getting potty trained! we have good days and bad days of changing a lot of underwear and outfits (most of these are at home and on the weekends), but all in all he is doing really well...

a review--
at the end of january we were lucky enough to have some visitors... stephenie and lonnie, the newlyweds, came and read with miles...

in early february, i had to go to san diego for a conference for a few days. daddy was alone with madeline and miles and did a great job taking care of the kiddies for four days.... 
madeline was happy... and only fell off the ottoman once. :)

the winter has been very mild this year in Cleveland. although it did snow a little in february. miles of course loved it. and pushed all his vehicles around the deck in the snow... even in his pajamas.

my happy baby...madeline recently had her four month check up and she is just a little over 50th percentile in height and weight with a big ole noggin' at about 80th percentile...
